Charity Team Building Events

Why charity team building activities are popular

These activities have become increasingly popular over the years and for good reason as there are many benefits of CSR. Employees enjoy working for an organization that gives back to the community, especially if it’s for a cause that’s near and dear to their hearts. In fact, offering engaging CSR activities to staff members can help reduce employee turnover. View and download our Charitable Event Flyer here.

Best of all, employees get to share the experience of giving back to their communities together. This can help them make meaningful connections with colleagues as well as strengthen established bonds. Additionally, employees can feel good about the philanthropic work that they’re doing, whether it’s collecting food for the homeless or running a marathon for a charity.

How to pick a charity to benefit from your event

Before you start thinking of which CSR team building activities you may be interested in, be sure to first select the charity you would like to benefit. This is because it can help you decide what activity may be best for your team. It can also help you narrow down your options.

If your company is already affiliated with a certain charity, you can start with that organization. If you would like to give to a different charity, consider asking the event participants for their input. Some may have personal connections to a charity or cause. For instance, an event participant may volunteer regularly at his or her local animal shelter on the weekends. He or she can be a great resource to get your group involved.

Whether it’s volunteering at a local nonprofit or supporting a charity that helps cancer patients, find a cause or organization that your team members are passionate about, as this can enhance the experience.

How to pick a CSR activity for your group

Once you’ve selected the charity you want to benefit from, you can choose the charity team building activity. For example, if you’d like to help those experiencing homelessness, you can find charities in your local area to help support them. Habitat for Humanity is a well-known organization that helps people construct or build a place they can call home. You can work with your team to build homes for disadvantaged individuals and help improve and transform your community.

Not only will you be enhancing communication and camaraderie among your group, but also you’ll help families achieve stability and independence, so they can improve their lives. This is why CSR is important. Moreover, you can even help deliver meals or food supplies to the homeless as well as volunteer at food or clothing banks.

Let's talk.

For more than 20 years, we’ve been helping teams like yours enhance open communication and build team camaraderie. If you want to rekindle the bonds your team once shared, or you’re assembling a new virtual team for the post-pandemic world, we are here to help.
