Tim Bergling most commonly known by his stage name, Avicii was a DJ and record producer from Sweden. At the age of 16, he landed his first record deal. After that, he quickly became a global sensation in the EDM and electronic genre. Avicii released his hit single “Wake Me Up” in 2013. The song reached the number 1 spot in over 20 countries across the globe and made history by becoming the first song on Spotify to accumulate 200 million streams! The summer hit is a song about living in the moment. We may be unsure of our futures but we are alive now and have to start living in the present or else life will pass right before our eyes. It’s a song that can resonate with many people no matter which stage of life we are currently in. We should all learn to accept the unknowns of the future and embrace the present.
