Make a child's day with a birthday-in-a-box!
Imagine your team laughing, competing, celebrating, and creating the ultimate birthday party package for children who would not otherwise have one. That’s exactly what Build-A-Birthday is all about.
Guided by professional facilitators, your group will be split into teams and dive into a series of fun, high-energy party-themed challenges. Each victory earns you points and supplies to fill up a birthday-in-a-box with decorations, favors, presents, and even a heartfelt card.
The finished wrapped boxes will become full-blown celebrations at local shelters and community centers where our partners throw real birthday parties for kids—candles, cake, and confetti included.
Not only will you and your team strengthen connections and share lots of laughs, but you’ll also deliver a life-changing experience to children who deserve to feel celebrated. Together, you’re creating birthdays that sparkle with joy and memories that last a lifetime.

This event can be done indoors or outdoors. We recommend 20 square feet of open space per participant as a good guideline.
Tailoring

We can easily adjust the length and messaging of this activity to fit your specific needs. We provide all the bags and everything you need to fill them and will coordinate directly with The Birthday Party Project charity for distribution. In addition to providing the birthday party in a bag, you’re also welcome to fulfill child-specific gift requests as an extra donation.
A recommended extra touch would be to setup a ‘Sweet Treats’ area and sing happy birthday to all the team members celebrating that month!

All donations are delivered through our partner, The Birthday Party Project, which distributes birthday boxes to children in need. Your team’s work directly supports kids who might not otherwise get to celebrate their special day.
You’ll take part in hands-on birthday charity activities like wrapping presents, writing birthday cards, assembling piñatas, and more. Every task contributes to a complete “birthday in a box” for a deserving child.
