Juniper Networks | A Decade of Doing Good Together
Juniper Networks is a global leader in network innovation with employees spread across offices nationwide. Philanthropy isn't just a perk at Juniper—it's a core value, backed by donation matching up to $1,000 per employee per year and a longstanding commitment to volunteer service. The challenge was making sure that commitment reached every employee, regardless of where they worked.

The Challenge
With 8 offices dispersed across the country—from Westford, MA to Sunnyvale, CA to Herndon, VA—Juniper needed a team building partner who could deliver consistent, high-quality experiences everywhere. Their corporate philanthropy program was well-established, but coordinating volunteer events at scale, across multiple cities, while also keeping remote and distributed teams connected, required more than an internal team could manage alone.
They also needed flexibility. Not every event could be charitable, and not every team was in the same place. Juniper needed a partner who could do it all—from hands-on community service to high-energy virtual programming—without sacrificing quality or consistency.
The TeamBonding Treatment
TeamBonding first partnered with Juniper in 2014. What started as a single Do Good Bus event grew into one of TeamBonding’s longest and most expansive client relationships: 46 events over more than a decade, spanning 10 cities and the virtual world.
Giving back, coast to coast
The heart of the partnership has always been charitable giving. TeamBonding’s Do Good Bus program, which organizes surprise volunteer outings where employees board a bus not knowing where they’re headed or what they’ll be doing, became a staple of Juniper’s culture. Over the years, Juniper teams boarded the bus in Westford, Sunnyvale, Herndon, Bridgewater, Dallas, Denver, Raleigh, and beyond, contributing more than 850 volunteer hours to local communities across the country.
Because TeamBonding can execute its programs anywhere in the US, every Juniper office got the same opportunity to give back—not just headquarters. A Juniper employee in Dallas had the same chance to spend an afternoon helping a local nonprofit as one in Massachusetts.
Beyond the Do Good Bus, Juniper teams took part in a Charity Bike Build in Westford.
Keeping teams connected through the pandemic
When the pandemic hit in 2020 and offices closed, Juniper didn’t skip a beat — and neither did TeamBonding. The partnership pivoted seamlessly to virtual programming, helping Juniper maintain team morale and human connection at a time when isolation was the norm. From 2020 through 2022, Juniper leaned heavily on TeamBonding’s virtual catalog, running events including:
- Virtual Corporate Feud — a fast-paced, family-feud-style game show that became a repeat favorite
- Virtual Jeopardy — competitive trivia that got teams engaged and laughing
- Anything Goes Trivia and Oh What Fun Team Trivia — perfect for holiday gatherings and all-hands moments
- Virtual Wild Card Bingo — a high-energy crowd-pleaser for large groups
These programs gave Juniper’s people something to look forward to, a reason to show up on camera, and a genuine sense of togetherness when the world felt anything but connected.
Back in person and going strong
As offices reopened, Juniper returned to in-person experiences, including a Mystery Bus event in Raleigh, NC and a Beat the Box challenge in California. The variety of programming across the full partnership reflects a team that has evolved, grown, and kept engagement front and center through every season.
The Results
Over 11 years, Juniper Networks has run 46 events with TeamBonding across 16 distinct program types: charitable outings, virtual games, CSR activations, and more. Their teams have contributed more than 850 volunteer hours to communities in 10 cities across the country.
The consistency of the partnership speaks for itself. From a single Do Good Bus ride in 2014 to a multi-city, multi-format program that carried teams through a global pandemic and out the other side, TeamBonding has been Juniper’s go-to for bringing people together.
“It has been a great pleasure partnering with the TeamBonding staff. I am looking forward to continued events!”
