Upside Down written, co-produced, and performed by Jack Johnson was originally created for the children’s movie Curious George. However, since it was released over 15 years ago listeners of all ages have been able to find their own meaning in the song. Whether it is staying optimistic, exploring new possibilities, or revisiting old ideas this song finds a way to relate. This evidently led to its peak position of #38 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2006. The song remains popular and known by many today for encouraging listeners to think outside the box and not to give up when someone doesn’t believe in you.
