Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is an intentional choice to contribute to the well-being of society and the local community. There is no one “right” way to go about it and no one “right” answer when interpreting what it means in practice.

In one survey from Deloitte, results indicate that “creating a culture of volunteerism in the workplace may boost morale, workplace atmosphere, and brand perception.” 

Another Deloitte survey on how volunteering impacts a company found that “results indicate that volunteering experience may play a big role in building leadership skills considered to be ‘must haves’ for successful leaders.” 

This leads us to a conclusion that having a solid and well-defined corporate social responsibility policy in place directly impacts the quality of employees and the work they do.
