Spotlight on Boys and Girls Club of Lake County

TeamBonding recently hosted a Charity Bike Build event for a large company in Chicago – and it was a huge success! There’s nothing like seeing a child’s face light up when he or she is presented with a brand new bike.
The Boys and Girls Club of Lake County in Illinois is a place where children between the ages of 6 and 18 can feel safe and have fun at the same time. Since 1999, BGCLC has offered service to hundreds of children and provided great resources for the youth of Chicago. With the belief that every child has the potential to grow and become something great, BGCLC has kept up with their mission to provide youth with “the tools they need to remove themselves from the cycle of poverty.” They explain that club members “aren’t receiving a handout, but a hand up.”

We’re honored that BGCLC and TeamBonding were able to work together to donate brand new bikes that were built with love by a large group of employees at a Chicago company to the kids at the club. We hope to work with Boys and Girls Club of Lake County many more times in the future!

Holiday Spirit Week Ideas to Spark Connection at Work

The holidays have always been my favorite season to plan events for, and I’ll tell you why: it’s the one time of year when even the busiest teams pause to connect, celebrate, and give back.
