TeamBonding recently hosted a Charity Bike Build event for a large company in Chicago – and it was a huge success! There’s nothing like seeing a child’s face light up when he or she is presented with a brand new bike.
The Boys and Girls Club of Lake County in Illinois is a place where children between the ages of 6 and 18 can feel safe and have fun at the same time. Since 1999, BGCLC has offered service to hundreds of children and provided great resources for the youth of Chicago. With the belief that every child has the potential to grow and become something great, BGCLC has kept up with their mission to provide youth with “the tools they need to remove themselves from the cycle of poverty.” They explain that club members “aren’t receiving a handout, but a hand up.”
We’re honored that BGCLC and TeamBonding were able to work together to donate brand new bikes that were built with love by a large group of employees at a Chicago company to the kids at the club. We hope to work with Boys and Girls Club of Lake County many more times in the future!

So, you suddenly found yourself managing a remote team? Here you will understand the benefits of virtual team building as we share activity ideas you can implement. Remote work has been on the rise for years, and as COVID-19 is moving more teams online, remote team building is becoming a necessary step for business operations and human resources. It’s also an opportunity to get creative about how your team bonds and has fun in this new space, especially during stressful times.
At TeamBonding, we are experts at mixing work & play to create team building events, both virtually and in-person globally, for businesses looking to positively impact their company culture, employee engagement and retention, on-the-job effectiveness and job satisfaction.
We’ve outlined five steps for starting and managing a remote team with a focus on building culture. No longer a special arrangement for a handful of team members, remote work has become more common than ever. Today, the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) has imposed work from home mandates, and many companies need to start and manage remote teams, fast.
In a world rife with distractions and a population more easily sidetracked than ever, it’s becoming more and more difficult for companies to keep their employee morale strong.
