Help animal shelters! Corporate volunteering for a doggone good time
Animals deserve our affection and care. Shelters across the country always seem to be overflowing with animals in need of homes, but their numbers soar after natural disasters (and pandemics). So this is an especially good time to keep them in mind.
Naturally, we also want to make this fun for all your human participants. Gamification and friendly competition are perfect for this.
Teams will work together to gather supplies to make a dog bed, pull toy, and a cat scratch pad for donation.
Through a combination of pet-themed team building activities, teams earn points which they can redeem at the “Pet Store.” This is how they obtain the supplies they’ll need to create the donated items. As the activity draws to a close, points are tallied to identify the winning team. But of course, the real winners are all those sweet cats and dogs you’ll be helping.
Space requirement

This event can be held either indoors or out. Either way, you’ll want enough space to give your group room to move and work comfortably. Each team of 6-8 participants will need their own table and chairs.
Tailoring

You can choose a specific local animal shelter, or TeamBonding will be happy to set it up for you. Often, we’re able to arrange for someone from the shelter to attend your event and accept the donations in person.
