Get to know Stephanie
I have a few favorites but my first instinct is probably Chain Reaction. I love watching everyone take the most random collection of items and turn it into a fully functioning machine. It gives everyone an opportunity to be both resourceful and creative. Plus, when the machine works the crowd goes WILD.
Ted Lasso has the perfect TeamBonding energy. He respects people for who they are and always gives them the benefit of the doubt. He values process over outcome and loves to have a good time. In one episode he says “be curious not judgmental” and I would advise everyone to adopt that mentality when forming deep connections.
I once led a team through a clean water connection where they built water filters to be donated to countries and people in need. The participants were so touched by the activity that a few of them got up to speak and share their own experience with access to water and how they were inspired to do more to help others. It makes a huge difference when teams can really feel the weight of their impact.
If I’m answering based on survival: A boat, a blanket, and my father. If I’m answering for fun: A paint set, an 8 book series, and my curly hair products. I would sooner face an island creature before facing my hair without curl cream.
With a Little Help From My Friends by The Beatles. Whether it’s my family, friends, coworkers, or the lovely people I get to meet at events, I am better for knowing them.
Iceland is currently at the top of my list. Northern lights, glacier hiking, fresh fish? Count me in.
