The Team Building Team

In this series of articles, we take five minutes to chat with a member of the TeamBonding team so you can get an idea of the sort of people we are. In this installment, we talk to one of our facilitators, Missy about her love for teambuilding, exotic cats, and Barry Manilow.

What is your favorite part of working for TeamBonding?
My favorite part of working for TeamBonding is that our clients are always a happy group of people! They are like kids on a field trip, they are out of their office, and doing something fun! I love the wide variety of our programs. Some are very cerebral, some are just fun, some are a combination, all are collaborative. I love that I get to be the person to see the lightbulb moments, the smiles, and the pride that our clients have.

What is your favorite four-legged creature and why?
Exotic cats! I have Savannahs. They are bred from the African Serval. They are very smart, they can jump really high, they will walk on a leash with a harness, and I taught them to sit! They get into lots of trouble and destroy things though. We call it “Savandalism”.

If you could invite three famous people to dinner who would you invite?
I would pass on the other two so that I would not have to share him. Barry Manilow! I have been a Fanilow since birth. I cry during every concert, just because it is so amazing to be in the same building as him. I once got to stand several feet away from him when he was signing autographs at a bookstore in Chicago. I was a little girl, and all of the grownups thought it was so sweet how emotional I was to be there and let me stand up as close as I could by the ropes for the line. I just stared and stared. They gave me his marker when it ran out of ink!

If you could choose one superpower, what would it be and why?
Teleportation. The saying “Getting there is half the fun.” is not true for me!
