Build shelters and build hope
When crisis strikes, whether through natural disaster, displacement, or homelessness, a safe place to shelter becomes a symbol of hope and dignity.
Emergency Shelter Build is a powerful, hands-on team experience that brings people together to make an immediate difference. In this uplifting event, teams collaborate to assemble insulated, foldable shelters built to endure adverse weather. Each shelter includes a secure door for privacy and safety and folds into a portable bag, making it easy for recipients to carry it wherever they need to go.
Throughout the shelter building activity, each team also completes a series of challenges that earn them items to pack a care kit with essential hygiene supplies, personal safety items, and everyday necessities that can be hard to access during challenging times. Every kit includes a handwritten note of encouragement and a QR code that connects recipients to nationwide resources for shelter, food, medical care, and recovery support.
This experience is about more than building shelters and packing kits. It is about connecting, collaborating, and making a real impact together. It sparks compassion, strengthens teamwork, and turns effort into meaningful change.

Space requirement

This event works best in a spacious room that allows each team to move freely and collaborate comfortably. We recommend a minimum of 50 square feet per person to ensure teams can move comfortably.
