Food is one of the most basic needs of any living creature. Yet across our country, millions of children, women, and men go to sleep hungry every night. This is a way you can make a tangible difference. It’s a great program for bringing your team closer together, while making a worthwhile food donation to people in real need.
Our team building cooking classes involve food, competition and creative challenges. Your group will be divided into small teams who work together to create meals to share with local families.
This team building cooking event allows for a 3-pronged donation:
- Hot food donations to area soup kitchens
- Sandwich/snack donations for delivery to food drop-off sites
- Food pantry “food bag” donations for families in need
When possible, staff from the benefiting organization will be on hand to receive the donations in person. Cooking for a Cause is a great way to strengthen your team and lift morale while giving back to the community.
Space requirement
-
Our approach allows us to come to your favorite hotel, conference center, winery, office, or auditorium, which makes for easy planning. You’ll want tables for ingredients and food preparation/packaging. 30 sq. ft. of space per team is a good rule of thumb.
