Build bears for charity
A little comfort can go a long way. Teddy bears can provide a sense of safety and companionship during stressful or uncertain times, making them especially meaningful for people experiencing hardship, trauma, or major life transitions.
In this hands-on giving experience, volunteers will create a teddy bear companion from start to finish. Teams will stuff their bears, design a custom T-shirt, and create an original storybook to accompany their new friend. They’ll also write a warm, personal message for the recipient, complete the bear’s birth certificate, and package the finished kit for shipping.
More than just a stuffed animal, each build a bear kit is a tangible reminder that someone cares. Through creativity, compassion, and a little imagination, volunteers create a comforting companion that can help bring warmth, connection, and encouragement to someone who needs it most.
