Help students grow their own connection to sustainability by creating a ready-to-grow vegetable garden kit. Volunteers will decorate planters, create plant stakes, and write an encouraging note to inspire students to become environmental stewards.

Garden kits for greener futures
School gardens give students a hands-on way to learn about sustainability, healthy food, and their connection to the environment. Yet only a small percentage of elementary schools have a school garden. This experience helps bring those lessons to life by putting the tools to grow a garden directly into students’ hands.
Volunteers will design and personalize three planters, create plant stakes to identify the seeds, and write an encouraging note for the student receiving the garden kit. Once everything is complete, teams will package the planters, seeds, soil, and educational materials into a ready-to-grow garden kit and prepare it for shipping.
Each kit allows students to plant, grow, and learn while discovering how small actions can make a difference. Through creativity and hands-on learning, volunteers help inspire the next generation of environmental stewards.
