Put financial literacy in their hands
Financial literacy is a skill that can shape a student’s future, yet many young people graduate without a strong understanding of how to manage money. Early financial education can help students develop healthy saving habits, understand important financial concepts, and build confidence around money.
In this hands-on financial literacy volunteer experience, participants will create engaging tools that make financial education fun and approachable. Teams will decorate and construct buildable money banks, design their own paper currency, and customize fabric money pouches where students can store their savings. Each kit also includes age-based activities and student instructions that introduce complex financial terms in an easy-to-understand way.
By creating these kits, volunteers help turn financial literacy from an abstract concept into something students can see, touch, and practice. Each completed kit gives a student the tools to start learning about saving, spending, and making smart financial decisions—with confidence that can last a lifetime.
