Pack backpacks, power big ideas
Back-to-school season can be a significant financial strain for families, with an average of $875 spent each year on school essentials and 56% of families reporting that the season is financially stressful. By packing backpacks filled with essential supplies, you can help ease that burden while giving students the tools they need to feel prepared, capable, and proud as they head into the classroom.
This hands-on volunteer experience goes beyond packing supplies. Teams will kick things off with theme-based trivia to learn more about the impact of their efforts, then create STEAM-themed flashcards filled with fun and engaging facts. Volunteers will also write personal notes of encouragement to remind students that their education—and their potential—matter. Once complete, teams will pack the backpacks with all the STEAM essentials and prepare them for shipment.
Every backpack delivers more than supplies. It delivers encouragement, opportunity, and a little extra confidence to help a student explore, create, and succeed in STEAM.
