Give a Kid a Backpack!

Help give back to the community while building bonds with your team members.

Corporate social responsibility has become increasingly popular among companies over the past few years. Companies are contributing their efforts toward philanthropies as a way to give back to the community, but also to engage with their consumers. In order for this to be successful, it is crucial for companies to work as a team. This is where we come in with our engaging team building program that allows you to give a kid a backpack.

The Tools for Schools – Give a Kid a Backpack program will bring your team closer together while giving back to the local community. This program challenges teams to fill backpacks with necessary school supplies (notebooks, pencils, erasers, etc.) that will be donated to children.

But you must earn the items in order to fill the backpack!

Now, it’s not as easy as simply placing each item into the backpack. The challenge: each team must earn the school supplies. Team members will work together by engaging in both physical and metal tasks to earn “cash” they can redeem for school supplies.

What will your team gain from charitable team building?

  • A sense of teamwork
  • Strengthened communication skills with team members
  • Giving back to the local community
  • Increased corporate social responsibility
  • Laughs and tears shared with team members

Have you and your team given back recently? What is your favorite way to support your community?

How to Manage Distributed Teams for Stronger Connection and Engagement

When I first started planning virtual programs at TeamBonding, “distributed teams” wasn’t the buzzword it is today. Companies occasionally hired remotely, but it wasn’t standard practice. The Best Corporate Events to Bring Teams Together

I’ve been creating team building events for decades, and I can tell you this: the right corporate event ideas can completely transform the way a team feels about work—and about each other. I’ve seen a simple scavenger hunt spark friendships that lasted for years, and a charity bike build bring out leadership skills in people who didn’t even realize they had them.
