My favorite part of working with TeamBonding are the moments when I witness a team step into full commitment with whatever game or event we’re bringing to life. At times, the teams can be reluctant, self-conscious, or intimidated by the tasks of the game, but once they commit and go full-send…the energy in the room changes and they bring out the best in each other. It’s awesome!
I like City Build because each team is tasked to take responsibility for a portion of the whole city/organism, and then they’re required to connect their section of the city to the rest of the sections that the other teams have been working on. Anything that inspires teams to take responsibility for their portion, yet also invites them to see the big picture, to transcend competition in service of collaboration with the whole entity… I’m all about.
Aragorn from LOTR. Valiant team player with exemplary Leadership qualities.
I personally love when, in game play, the teams hierarchy gets dismantled and everyone is on the same level, which can be in service to transparent communication between people and departments that may not typically navigate the power structures of that iteration of team. I did an iBuild that put typically junior and supporting players in the role of leaders, and it created some reciprocal trust and comradery in the team in a way that they hadn’t explored previously
