Give the Gift of Literacy
Putting books in the hands of children has a meaningful impact on improving literacy, and Little Team Library will do just that. Not only will you assemble and decorate a Little Free Library® kit and post for every two teams, but you will also be getting to know each other through the act of storytelling.
We provide all the materials, and everyone will have opportunities to shine as they build and paint. Teams will have to work together to divide and conquer the tasks at hand, all while being prompted to share memories of their own favorite books and literary quotations. Collaboration is a must to create a cohesive and impactful theme and design that will attract people to your library once it is placed. Participants then designate carpenters and painters to work with another team in the building of their full Mini Little Library kit. At the end of the event, each pair of teams presents their finished product and shares their vision for the community with the entire group!
Everyone will feel like a winner as they build a library that will be placed in nearby local neighborhoods where such resources are scarce. It couldn’t be easier to give the gift of literacy!
