Build and Travel Down a Pipeline to Success

Can your team construct a working pipeline and stay within a budget?

Get your groups together to engineer a functioning marble transporting device at our Product Pipeline program. The challenge here is to create a pipeline with limited supplies such as PVC piping, balloons, bamboo stakes, rope and tying materials, etc. without going over budget. This pipeline must be able to transport a certain amount of marbles to the very end. build

While you divide into smaller teams or “departments” to build your portion of the pipeline remember to look at the bigger picture, because, all of the teams’ pipelines must come together as one and form one giant working device. So, you must consult with everyone to get this thing up and running!

To get things to run smoothly, select two project managers to help out in the departments. A pretend budget is allowed for each department to get more materials at the “store.” Once the pipelines are constructed, your company’s marketing department must present the overall idea of the pipeline before it gets tested out. Hold practice runs and review what works and doesn’t work to ensure an efficient structure.

There are many different roles that must be played for progress to be made if you choose this program. So, be prepared for an exciting and challenging team project that will be sure to help your company bond. You will be learning time and resource management and important communication skills. If you want even more team bonding you might decide to add the Play To Win program for extra ice breakers and puzzles to get you in the right mindset to start working together.

Choose your supplies wisely to guarantee a smooth run down your pipeline and secure your chances of the marbles making their way to the very end!
