Margaritaville Murder Mystery

With all the challenges facing our world today, sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is find a nice place to escape to. Margaritaville (our virtual version anyway) is just that kind of place.

Your team is guaranteed to have a fun time while thinking analytically and exercising their problem-solving skills. Solving this murder case requires close collaboration and effective communication – important skills both on and off the job.

The scene: bar and restaurant owners Jimmy and Buffy Taylor have started their own podcast, It’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere. The podcast, created as a way to prop up their struggling venue, focuses on music and mixology.

In this episode, Jimmy, Buffy and their faithful engineer Billy “Cheeseburger” Glenn interview a former chemistry professor, Rupert Henley. They revisit their past, recalling how the couple was brought together by the music Henley played during class experiments. But the podcast takes a dark turn when one of the four characters is killed.

It’s your group’s job to dig through evidence, question suspects and piece together the details of this ghastly puzzle. How did how the crime occur? What could possibly be the motive? And most importantly, who is the murderer?

Unfortunately, no sooner does the event begin, when it is discovered that one of the elves has been replaced and possibly murdered by Santa’s naughty counterpart, the shape-shifting Krampus! The teams will have to work together to unlock festive puzzles, review clues and question the suspects to see which of the assembled has been replaced by the dastardly Krampus. It could be any of the elves or even Mrs. Claus herself. The event will conclude with a special visit by a grateful Father Christmas; Santa Claus himself to announce the winning team and give prizes (if any).
