5 Tips for Team Bonding in a Hybrid Meeting

The following is a set of five tips we discovered from Richard Davies, Head of European employee communications, EBAY.

1. Win your audience every session – your brand is only as good as your last briefing. Hold yourself accountable for the time your audience invests in your meeting.
2. Coach your presenters to be engaging and work effectively with a camera. Give them meaningful feedback on their performance.
3. Ensure the content is the most important thing you are talking about each week. Explain why everyone needs to know about an item and if you can’t do that, drop it from the agenda.
4. Don’t let speakers run over their time.
5. Make sure people leave the room with a spring in their step.

That early excitement for school has always been an amazing thing to me. Why is it that older kids seems to dread the transition, while the younger ones get crazy excited? Have you ever seen that same effect with the teams you work with? The ones who have seasoned with the project seem to drag a bit while new comers have a sense of excitement… Read more ›

Graduation Day – Why Projects Should Have an End Date

There is nothing more demoralizing for a team then working on a project or job that has no distinct beginning, middle, or end. Humans like to know where they are going, how their progress is coming, and when they get there. Your business projects should be no different.

Take these three phases into consideration and see where you are in your teams projects (and more importantly if you are stuck in any one… ). Then, take some time in the planning stages of a project to break your project into multiple stages with recognizable BME (beginning, middle and end).
