Quickfire Soccer

With the 2026 FIFA World Cup happening right here in the United States this summer, there has never been a better time to channel some soccer energy into your spring events. Quickfire Soccer is a fast-paced, app-powered experience where teams complete creative, mental, and physical soccer-themed challenges to score points—no actual soccer skills required!

Each team starts with a tablet, soccer gear, and virtual currency, then races the clock to complete as many challenges as possible: trivia, logic puzzles, photo missions, mini team competitions, and more. The World Cup buzz alone will have people pumped before the event even starts. I love this one for spring because it taps into a moment that feels genuinely exciting for just about everyone right now.

2. Cooking challenges

If the weather is still chilly, a cooking challenge makes a great March team building activity. Consider having a cook-off to see who can prepare the most delicious dish, or even a simple potluck to get everyone together and say goodbye to the colder months.

You might tell everyone to break out their favorite warm weather recipes, or divide into teams and prepare identical recipes as a competition. Either way, the outcome will be delicious!

Team Chili Cook-Off

The Team Chili Cook-Off is a fiery spring team building favorite that combines creativity, resourcefulness, and skill. Teams divide into smaller groups, starting with chili basics, then complete fun challenges and barter to collect other ingredients to make their dish shine.

If you welcomed new employees at the beginning of the year, it’s a nice alternative to spring icebreaker questions, since it brings everyone together. Nothing brings people together like a cook-off—trust me on that one.

The Great Fruit Carve-Off

Event type: In-person

This one is SO much fun and honestly a little unexpected—which is exactly why teams love it. Teams receive fresh fruits and vegetables, carving tools, and a live demo from a professional carver before diving into their own creations. The results are wild, beautiful, and hilarious in equal measure.

It’s a perfect fit for spring: fresh produce, vibrant colors, and that “in bloom” energy of the season. The finished sculptures even double as edible centerpieces, making this a great add-on if you’re tying the event into a larger spring gathering or reception.

3. Celebrate “Take Your Child to Work Day”

And I’ll be honest—some of my most memorable moments as a facilitator have involved watching kids light up when they realize what their parents actually do all day. This is one of my absolute all-time favorites. Your team boards a bus and heads to a mystery volunteer location—could be a community garden, a food bank, or an animal rescue. You don’t know until you get there, and that element of surprise makes the whole thing feel like an adventure from start to finish.

Everything is handled for you: planning, logistics, lunch, snacks, all of it. The bus holds 20–50 participants, and the experience is designed to inspire people to keep doing good long after the day wraps up.
