Scavenger Hunts for the Digital Era

The Smartphone Scaventure blends together the tried-and-true fun of scavenger hunts with advances in mobile technology, resulting in a heart-pounding team building experience that’s unlike anything you’ve tried before. Teams compete using their iPhone, BlackBerry, or Android smartphone with our mobile application, snapping photos to collect as many points as possible in the time allowed. At least one phone per team is required, but the more the merrier! Gone are the days of isolated competition – teams keep up to date with live leaderboards, an updates stream, and photo feed.

Our urban adventures are comprised of a carefully selected mission list tailored to your event, with tasks ranging from fun and creative to downright outrageous. Adventures are guaranteed to push the boundaries of collaboration. Teams have free reign to attack the missions in any order. Each task is assigned a point value, with more extreme missions yielding the highest reward. Since teams are always aware of where they stand on the leaderboard, the ambitious tasks are a great way to “go for broke” late in the game – producing some hilarious photos.

Missions are designed to bring out the social and creative side of participants – interacting with the public, local businesses, and your environment are core elements of our adventures! Teams are given leeway to interpret the missions as they wish, but they must put their best foot forward – each picture is subject to post-hunt review. On the flip side, stunning and mind-bogglingly creative photos can be rewarded with extra points!

It’s nothing like they’ve ever played before! Players will be immersed in a fast paced game linking real world clues and virtual interactions. Our technology will keep track of the scoring, routing, hints and dynamic game play.

A Natural Way to Play

Our smartphone interface is downright simple to use. Participants download the app for free from their smartphone, and login using the facilitator-supplied team credentials. There are four main functions within the mobile app:

Mission List: Missions are organized by completion and point value for easy navigation. Teams complete tasks by selecting a mission and taking a photo from within the application. Select, snap, collect!

Leaderboards: See how you rank against everyone else in real-time. It’s like the leaderboards in golf tournaments, but customized just for you!

Updates Feed: See what missions your competitors are completing, organized chronologically. Grab a sneak peek at their photos too!

Photos: All your team’s photos are collected and organized in one easy-to-navigate spot. Great for reviewing what you’ve done at the end of a hunt.
